Breastfeeding is one of the vital parts when the baby is growing. A breastfed baby is protected from all sorts of illness as his body is getting proper balance of fats, proteins, sugar and other nutrients that he requires for growth outside his mother’s safe womb.
Mother’s milk fights with all the germs and keeps the infections apart from the baby to help him grow at a good percentage. It also makes baby’s immune system stronger. Breastfeeding is advised for at least 6 months however, you can continue doing it for as long as 1 and a half year which is at the end, good for the baby.
A newborn baby does not have any idea of the day or night. On an average, babies tend to sleep for at least 17 hours a day, but for shorter naps of 2-4 hours. Bathing the baby makes him hungry and feeding makes him sleep.
Most of the times, a baby sleeps when he gets fed. Make your baby sleep in a well lit room so that he sleeps for shorter naps and thereby increasing the sleep time during night. As they grow, their sleep time keeps reducing and they become habitual to sleeping in the night.
Touch is the first language for newborn babies. For a mother to gain awareness of the baby’s needs, she should give a healthy massage to her baby thereby strengthening her bond with her baby. Besides, giving your baby a good massage is a way to strengthen his bones and muscles. However, massaging the baby brings in a lot more benefits for the baby like;
